Day 1: M'Hamid
Ras Nakhla – Sidi Naji
Depart from M’Hamid in the morning with the camel caravan. Cross palm groves and the desert plateau towards Ras Nakhla. Have lunch in the shade, then continue to Sidi Naji, famous for its old marabouts. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars.
Day 2: Sidi Naji
Bou Snina – Erg Ez-Zhar
In the morning, we packed up and started our journey into the heart of the desert to explore more. We crossed a large part of the desert area (the journey took about three hours). Later, we had lunch in a remote location. After lunch, we continued our journey to explore and enjoy the breathtaking and unique scenery. After about three more hours of walking, we set up our camp on the magnificent and stunning sand dunes of Erg Ez-Zhar. We will have dinner and spend the night under a starry sky or in a tent
Day 3: Erg Ez-Zahar
El Hadbat – Oued Naam
After a magnificent sunset in these beautiful dunes, breakfast, then departure to Lahdibat. 3 hours of riding and walking. Lunch will be in the shade of large tamaris. After lunch, departure to Oued Naam. The journey will take 3.5 hours, mobile camp, and overnight.
Day 4: Oued Naam
Mezouaria – M’Hamid
After breakfast, we pack up and start our way to Mezouaria. We take the return route and continue walking for about two hours to have lunch near the small sand dunes of Mezouaria. We will return quietly to M’Hamid to reach the fixed camp in the afternoon to shower and rest well. A well-deserved dinner, a friendly evening, and an overnight stay in the tents in the comfort of the camp.
